Between Rome and Rieti, in the heart of Sabina, centuries-old olive trees tell a thousand-year story of olive growing. Since the time of ancient Rome, this has been one of the most important historic areas for extra virgin olive oil production. Still today, between Montorio Romano and Moricone, our Sabina PDO extra virgin olive oil is born: certified, traceable, and deeply connected to its land of origin.
The extra virgin olive oil of the Slow Food Presidia
Our Sabina PDO extra virgin olive oil comes from centuries-old olive groves recognized as a Slow Food Presidium.
A project that protects the environmental and landscape value of ancient olive trees, as well as the work of the growers who preserve them.

Centuries-old olive trees, native Sabina cultivars
We cultivate olive trees that are over 100 years old. Carboncella and Salviana are the main cultivars, alongside other native varieties protected by the Sabina PDO production regulations, some of which date back to ancient Rome. A biodiversity heritage that gives life to a unique blend: DUENOVESEI Sabina PDO

Our Slow way of working.
We farm organically, respecting the natural rhythms of the trees. The soil is managed with organic substances and practices that preserve fertility and balance. For crop protection, we use only products allowed in organic farming, and the olives are harvested by hand. This method allows us to obtain an olive oil that is fresher, more stable, and richer in aromas
Sabina PDO: the certainty of origin.
Sabina PDO is a Protected Designation of Origin that precisely defines where and how Sabina PDO extra virgin olive oil must be produced.
From the territory to the cultivars, from grove management to chemical and sensory controls, every stage is regulated, verified, and traceable. A real guarantee for those looking for authentic extra virgin olive oil.

When does an olive oil become Sabina PDO?
When it is found to comply with the sensory and chemical parameters required by the Sabina PDO Protection Consortium, which entrusts RINA Agrifood S.p.A., as a control body authorized by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, with a verification process involving more than thirty laboratory analyses and a dedicated panel test to certify compliance.
How can you recognize a Sabina PDO olive oil?
Every single bottle of Sabina PDO extra virgin olive oil carries an official seal with a unique code. Through this code, consumers can verify the product’s origin and authenticity via the platform of the Italian State Mint and Polygraphic Institute.
This system guarantees full traceability and authenticity: from grove to bottle.
